2021/22 Promotion and Relegation

By Simon Harrison

Please see below the ups and downs planned for the upcoming season.

With the Covid pandemic affecting both the 2019/20 and 2020/21 campaigns, it has not been possible for any promotions or relegations in the Manchester Football League.

Currently there are fifteen teams competing in the Premier Division, so for the 2021/22 season we will relegate the bottom team and promote the top two teams from Division One, taking the number up to the maximum of sixteen for the 2022/23 season.

The bottom team will be relegated from Division One with five teams getting promoted from Division Two which will then take the total to fourteen.

Division Two currently has fifteen teams in it for the upcoming season and with the top five going up, this will reduce the numbers to eleven teams and leave room for any new teams.
