Announcement - Inter League Team

By Simon Harrison

The Manchester Football League can announce that they will be entering an Inter League team into upcoming competitions.

The National Inter League Cup and the Jeff Walton Memorial Cup Competitions are to re-commencing in the near future and the Manchester League has entered both these Competitions.

With that in mind, it is necessary for the League to appoint an Inter League Manager and staff.

We are extremely happy to advise that Lee McAllister from Springhead FC, has accepted the role, with immediate effect. Lee will be assisted by Liam Bowden, Andy Pheby, and Lee Walsh.

Lee has been associated with the League for a number of years, both as a player and recently as a manager.

We intend to play a couple of friendly games, before the end of the season, to allow potential players to meet each other, and to get into the general mood of the Inter League Team. It is certainly a different environment from that of a Club team.

Lee has been asked to get together, a list of potential players, that he hopes will be a successful team. Could I ask ALL Clubs to be cooperative with him, and his requests for availability of players. He will work with the Management Committee, in achieving success, but that is only possible with your help.

Many thanks.
