LEAGUE STATEMENT - Bridgewater Cup

By Simon Harrison

The League Secretary has issued a statement regarding this season's Bridgewater Cup.

Ladies and Gents,

The Bridgewater Cup Final was cancelled on Tuesday evening following the discovery of player ineligibility to play in that game.

The Management Committee then looked at other games in the Competition and found further player ineligibility from other Clubs. This obviously devalues the Competition.

Accordingly, the League Management Committee have taken the decision to declare this year’s Bridgewater Cup Competition as null and void.

We have not taken this decision easily but we all feel that to preserve the integrity of it, for future seasons, this course of action is necessary.

We will not be making any further comments, the matter is now closed.

Phil Platt,
League Secretary
