League President John Hyde has his latest say during the current suspension of the season for COVID-19.

Hello to you all,

The older ones amongst you will remember that was always the opening line on Dixon of Dock Green, a programme on BBC in black and white, and long ago consigned to the waste bin of TV history, but having sat at home for a day, you find that your mind wanders!!!

Right so what's happening?

Honestly, I don't know, things with Covid-19 change by the hour it would seem, but at the moment, we, along with all the other leagues are waiting for the FA. I accept that this is a bit of a cop out but there is no point in making a unilateral decision to cancel all the remaining fixtures for the FA to tell us we can start again in.......

I accept that many of you will have made arrangements for ground works to take place mid May and we have made our parent County aware of that, so presumably have lots of other County FA's across the country, so hopefully that will figure in any decision they make, which for all our sakes, I hope is soon.

I get lots of phone calls from folk about all sorts of football-related matters and I try to answer them but with this situation I can't and I apologise. Phil Platt is keeping on top of things and will be sending out weekly updates, but in the meanwhile please bear in mind the medical advice, stay safe, stay at home, watch Netflix and drink Gin, and while you are self isolating for however long, just think.......This must be what Hydey does all day every day!!!

Take care all, any of you that are front line medics, thank you for all you do for all of us.

Cheers,
John.
