Referee Secretary Appointment

By Simon Harrison

The Manchester Football League can now announce the successful candidate for the Referee Secretary role.

In January, current Referee Secretary, Jason Rostron announced that he was stepping down from the role at the end of the 2021/22 season. An advertisement was circulated a number of days later inviting suitable candidates to apply for the Referee Secretary Vacancy.

The deadline for candidates to apply was February 7 with the interviews being carried out the following weeks.

We can now announce that the role was secured by Chris Bega. Chris will shadow Jason for the remainder of the 2021/22 season before beginning the role fully the following term.

We hope you join us in congratulating Chris and we sincerely thank the candidates who were not successful on this occasion.

Kind Regards
