Rochdale Sacred Heart still lead the way at the top of the table and now hold a three-point lead following their 3-1 win at home to a spirited Beechfield United. Curtis Williams, Ross Hildersley and Liam Murray all scored for the hosts as they got back to winning ways at Fox Park.

Springhead travelled to Chadderton Reserves in this local derby where both teams contributed to an enthralling spectacle. Jordan Hall scored a hat-trick for the visitors which helped them to a 4-3 win that moves them up to third place, with Matthew Dixon scoring the other. Joe Ray’s brace and Seb Sheldon’s goal for the hosts proved to be without reward on the day.

Elliot Collinson scored a hat-trick in Heywood St James’ 4-3 win over bottom team Royton Town on Saturday, a win that puts them in fourth spot. Jimmies have scored four in each of their three wins so far this season in another entertaining match at the Phoenix Ground. Aaron Nuttall scored the fourth goal to condemn Town to their fifth straight defeat.

Walshaw Sports secured their first point of the 21/22 season with a 2-2 draw at Pennington. Louis Jackson and Lee Gaskell both scored for the Bury outfit whilst Ethan Wellington and Alexander Spencer netted for Pennington at Jubilee Park.

Stockport Georgians doubled their points tally for the season following their 2-1 win at home to Bolton County, with Jack Hodgkinson getting County’s reply.

Bolton Lads and Girls dropped their first points of the season but remain top of the table after they travelled to Altrincham Hale on Saturday afternoon. Lewis Carthew and Jack Yates scored for Hale while Curtis Harbord and Ellis Richardson scored for Bolton in the 2-2 draw.

Level on points with the leaders are Elton Vale who won 3-0 against Tintwistle Athletic. A Shane Birtles brace along with Jack Lawder’s goal sealed a comfortable afternoon for the visitors at West Drive.

Soman Muhammad’s two goals help his Govan Athletic side to their first win and points of the season. Tom Buffin also scored for Latics in the 3-1 win against Atherton Town with Thomas Atkinson netting their consolation.

Boothstown picked up their second win of the season when they welcomed Wilmslow Albion to Bridgewater Park. Tom Perkins’ brace was added to by Jamie Hurworth and Nathan Haslam as the hosts ran out 4-2 winners with Scott Kempson and Dom Dallas both scoring for Albion.

AFC Monton’s perfect start is no more after they succumbed to a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Bolton Borough. The MFL newcomers toppled Ammies thanks to goals from Nil Grau and Aleksander Calaku with Ben McNamara scoring the visitors’ reply. The win sees them move up to second place and just two points off the leaders.

The two teams at the bottom suffered heavy defeats, both conceding nine without reply. Cavaliers travelled to Leigh Genesis where Tom Simms (3), Conor Wright (3), Jack Clare (2) and Conor Brimicombe all scored for the hosts. Oldham Community suffered defeat in the same manner at home to Avro Reserves as Mike Barnes-Gott (3), Kevin Zokou (2), Christian Edokpayi (2), Sam Kellett and Mason Dunkley all found the net.

Astley and Tyldesley moved up to fourth and join two other teams on twelve points following their 5-0 win against Hindley Juniors. Keeran Parker and Alex Crowder both scored twice with Jamie Hanlon scoring the other at Harrison Playing Fields.

Breightmet United ended up on the losing side when they hosted Manchester Central but pushed their opponents all the way in this seven-goal thriller. Gabriel Wiwoloku, Michael Yusuf, Fuhud Kasali and Daniel Dolling all scored for Central in the 4-3 win with Gary McShane (2) and Lewis Haslam getting the goals for United.

Avenue missed out on moving up to second place as AFC Burnley clinched their second win of the campaign. Aaron Smith and Aaron Halliday both scored for Burnley in the 2-1 win but Carlton Norford continued his form in front of goal as he scored the hosts’ reply.
