We take a look at Saturday's action as we bring 2017 to a close.

A depleted programme saw only two top-flight games take place.

Leaders Avro cemented their position with a stunning 7-1 win at Royton Town, and the visitors had the game sewn up by the break when they lead 6-1.

Avro’s scorers were Liam Bennion, James Hampson, Louis Potts and James Wolden, who added to a fine hat-trick from Duncan Knott, with James Done replying for Town.

A 3-1 win at Dukinfield Town helped Walshaw Sports move up one place to ninth in the league table, whilst Town still sit four points above the bottom three and in need of a win.

It was a similar story in Division One where only three fixtures beat the weather.

Manchester Central moved into second spot courtesy of a 3-1 victory over Boothstown, which could decisive in the race for promotion, Cory Knight bagging a hat-trick for the home side.

Atherton Town did their own chances a power of good with a 5-0 win over Hollinwood at Butler Park, Gaz Shaw netting two, and Ben Rodgers, Matt Jackson and Leighton Mills getting a goal apiece.

Chadderton Reserves moved up into sixth spot thanks to their thumping 9-0 win over Wilmslow Albion. James Curley's hat-trick was added to by a Niall Barnes double plus goals from Michael Brickhill, Jake Jacobs, Joseph Richards and Jack Shaw, leaving Chaddy just four points off the promotion places.
